An error occurrred during the code-generation

So, after working through various compile errors in my template without the benefit of informative error messages, I finally got it to compile.  Then, when I went to set up a Code Generation process, adding a code template truncated the first letter in the path, so I could never add that template to the Codegen Process until I manually edited the project xml to restore the missing letter.  Finally, all set to go, when I try to generate I get "An error occurred during code-generation for process 'XXX' in layer 'Common'.  If this problem persists, please contact Support immediately."  So, that's what I'm doing.

Is there anywhere I can a) step through code, b) see the underlying error messages?

The email function doesn't like my smtp server (inside a corp firewall), so what to do?

    Thanks.

http://community.steelbluesolutions.com/forums/t/39.aspx Check to make sure you have this setup.  You can probably try the System.Debugger.Break method to step into and debug... it is kind of buggy at times as I have found it to not work 100% of the time... just might want to give it a try though.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks - I remember hearing about this on a podcast, but I was surpirsed it wasn't fixed by now.

I think the podcast you are refering to is about the CodeBreeze folder distribution module, not this issue.
